COMPANY INFORMATION
Horizon Nursery

The Horizon Nursery was founded in August 1989 by the present owners, Ann and Tony Demuynck. They

immediately devoted an area of some 7,000 m² to the cultivation of Kalanchoe.

The company had a difficult start, suffering major storm damage in January 1990. It quickly became clear to Tony and Ann that quality and efficiency would be the cornerstones of any long-term success. As a result, re-building and re-structuring was carried out at roughly 2 year intervals and the company - with 3.5 hectares under glass and 4 hectares outdoors - is now ready to face the future with confidence.

Horizon is specialised in the cultivation of 9 cm Kalanchoes. The selected varieties represent the very best that is available from kalanchoe breeders on the international market. Special attention is paid to colour, flower size and life expectancy. In addition to kalanchoe, Tony and Ann also grow a number of seasonal plants: Solanium, Capsicum, Ellwoodii, Pinus pinea, Gaultheria and Tillandsia cyanae. Horizon aims to provide its customers not only with basic plant material, but with a fully finished product. As well as its normal production section, the company also has an "added value" section, which gives customers the option to order perfect products on a just-in-time basis.
